Convert Client HEIC Photos to JPEG for Design Workflows
Clients send iPhone photos in HEIC format — but Illustrator, InDesign, and most design tools still expect JPEG. Deliteful converts HEIC files to design-ready JPEGs so you can get back to the actual work.
Graphic designers routinely receive raw assets from clients who shot on iPhone without changing their camera settings. HEIC files either fail to import entirely in older Creative Cloud versions, or require an additional plugin step that interrupts the project flow. For designers billing hourly or managing multiple client projects, this is dead time.
Deliteful's HEIC to JPEG converter handles batch conversion in the browser — no Photoshop action required, no Bridge workaround. Files are converted to RGB JPEG with output optimization applied, ready to drop into any layout or editing tool. Each input file produces one output file, preserving your naming structure for organized asset handoffs.

Frequently asked questions
- Why does Adobe Illustrator or InDesign have trouble opening HEIC files?
- HEIC support in Adobe apps depends on operating system codecs and Creative Cloud version. Older installations and Windows systems without the HEIC codec installed will fail to open HEIC files. Converting to JPEG before import eliminates the dependency entirely.
- Does converting HEIC to JPEG change the color profile?
- Deliteful converts images to standard RGB color mode, which is what JPEG requires. If your workflow depends on a specific ICC profile (e.g. for print), you may want to assign the correct profile in Photoshop after conversion.
- Can I convert a full client asset folder at once?
- Yes, up to 50 files per batch. For larger asset deliveries, run multiple batches — there's no limit on how many batches you can run per session.
- What happens to transparent areas in HEIC files converted to JPEG?
- JPEG does not support transparency. Any transparent regions will be flattened during conversion. If the image requires transparency in your layout, use PNG as your target format instead.
