Image Optimization for Web Asset Performance

Oversized images are one of the top causes of poor Core Web Vitals scores. Deliteful's image optimizer compresses PNG, JPEG, and WebP files in bulk, stripping unnecessary metadata and reducing file size without resizing or reformatting.

Web performance engineers know that unoptimized images routinely account for 50–70% of a page's total byte weight. Every kilobyte saved directly improves LCP (Largest Contentful Paint) scores, which Google uses as a ranking signal. Deliteful processes images server-side and returns compressed files at the same dimensions and format — no pipeline scripts required.

Unlike manual Photoshop export workflows or single-file online tools, Deliteful handles batch uploads in one session. JPEG and WebP images use adjustable lossy compression (quality 1–95); PNG images are losslessly optimized. Metadata is stripped from all outputs, reducing file size further and eliminating accidental exposure of EXIF data in production assets.

How it works

  1. 1

    Upload images

Drag and drop PNG, JPEG, or WebP files into the uploader — batch uploads supported.

  2. 2

    Set quality

Adjust the quality slider (default 80) for JPEG and WebP files; PNG is optimized automatically.

  3. 3

    Download optimized files

Download compressed images at identical dimensions and format, ready for deployment.

Frequently asked questions

Will optimizing images change their dimensions or file format?
No. Deliteful preserves the original dimensions and format of every image. A 1200×800 JPEG comes back as a 1200×800 JPEG — only the file size changes.
What quality setting should I use for web images?
Quality 75–85 is the standard range for web use: visually indistinguishable from the original at typical screen sizes, with 30–60% file size reduction for JPEG and WebP. PNG files are losslessly compressed regardless of the quality setting.
Does the tool strip EXIF and other metadata?
Yes. All metadata is removed from optimized outputs. This is intentional — metadata adds file weight and can expose camera, location, or software information in production assets.
Can I optimize multiple images at once?
Yes. Deliteful supports batch uploads, so you can optimize an entire asset folder in a single session rather than processing files one at a time.
