Batch Extract Text from Contracts for Fast Clause Analysis
Reviewing contract language across dozens of PDFs means opening each file, searching manually, and copying text one document at a time. Deliteful extracts selectable text from up to 50 contracts in a single batch, giving you searchable plain text you can grep, compare, or feed into review workflows immediately.
Contract lawyers routinely need to audit language consistency across executed agreements — checking that indemnification caps, governing law clauses, or assignment restrictions are uniform across a counterparty portfolio. Doing this manually in a PDF viewer means 20 minutes per document. Batch text extraction collapses that to seconds per file, producing clean .txt outputs you can run through any search or diffing tool.
Deliteful processes up to 50 PDFs at once (up to 300 MB each) and lets you output either one text file per contract or a single combined file with clear per-document separators. For clause extraction workflows, the per-file output is cleanest; for bulk keyword searches across a portfolio, the combined file lets you run one grep across everything.
How it works
- 1
Upload your contracts
Drag and drop up to 50 PDF contracts — executed agreements, NDAs, MSAs, SOWs — into the uploader.
- 2
Choose output format
Select one text file per PDF for per-contract review, or a single combined file for portfolio-wide searching.
- 3
Extract and download
Deliteful extracts all embedded text and packages the results for immediate download.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I extract text from password-protected contracts?
- Only if the PDF allows copying — some protected PDFs block text extraction entirely. If a contract is locked against content copying, extraction will be incomplete or empty for that file.
- Does the tool preserve clause structure and section numbering?
- Text order follows the PDF structure, so numbered sections and clause headings are generally preserved. However, complex multi-column layouts or footnotes may appear out of sequence in the output.
- What happens if one contract in my batch is a scanned image?
- Scanned PDFs without an embedded text layer will produce an empty or near-empty text file. Only PDFs with selectable text are supported — use an OCR tool first if you need to process scanned contracts.
- How many contracts can I process at once?
- Up to 50 files per batch, with each PDF up to 300 MB. Most standard contract PDFs are well under 10 MB, so a 50-contract batch completes in under a minute.
