- Will cleaning the file affect my SUM or SUMIF formulas?
- The tool removes only fully empty rows and columns and trims whitespace from text cells. Numeric values are untouched, so SUM ranges won't change. SUMIF formulas that were failing due to whitespace mismatches in text criteria will work correctly after cleaning.
- Does the tool preserve multiple worksheets?
- Yes. All worksheets in the workbook are cleaned, and their names and order are preserved in the output file.
- Can I use this on QuickBooks or Xero exports?
- Yes. The tool works on any standard .xlsx or .xls file regardless of the source application. QuickBooks, Xero, and bank CSV-to-Excel exports are all compatible.
- Are formulas in the file preserved?
- No — formulas and cell formatting are not preserved. The output contains raw cell values only. This is suitable for most data preparation tasks, but if you need to preserve formula logic, work on a copy of the file.
