Sort Excel Inventory and Order Exports by Any Column
E-commerce managers deal with Excel exports from Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, and ERP systems that arrive unsorted — making catalog audits, reorder reviews, and sales analysis slower than they need to be. Deliteful sorts your product or order data by any column in one step, no pivot tables or manual drag-sorting required.
A typical inventory audit starts with a bulk export of thousands of SKUs. Sorting by stock level to identify reorder candidates, by margin to prioritize promotions, or by supplier code to group purchase orders — each of these is a routine pre-analysis step that costs time when done manually in Excel, especially when the file has multiple sheets for different product categories or warehouses.
Deliteful processes every worksheet in your workbook independently. Each sheet that contains your target column — 'Stock Level', 'Margin %', 'Supplier', 'Units Sold' — gets sorted without affecting the others. The result is a clean, sorted workbook you can hand directly to a buyer, feed into a reporting template, or attach to a supplier email.

Frequently asked questions
- Can I sort an inventory file with separate sheets for different product categories?
- Yes. Deliteful sorts each sheet independently. If all your category sheets share the same column header, every sheet gets sorted. Sheets without that column are left untouched.
- Does sorting preserve my conditional formatting or color coding?
- No — cell formatting and styles are not preserved after sorting. If color coding is important, apply it after sorting the output file.
- Can I sort order data by date to see the most recent orders first?
- Yes. Enter your date column name and select descending to surface the most recent orders at the top. Dates stored as proper date values sort correctly; dates stored as text may sort alphabetically instead.
- How many files can I sort at once?
- You can upload multiple Excel files in a single session. Each file is sorted independently using the same column and direction settings.
